Keck Missionary Baptist Church

WMU is our local branch of the Women's Missionary Union. Each year we help our church participiate in three offerings which contribute to the International Missions Board.  The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering is for North American Missionaries.  The Eliza Broadus Offering in the summer is used to support local missionaries in our home state of Kentucky.  Each Christmas, The Lottie Moon offering is used to help support thousands of international missionaries who have surrendered to God's calling.

 

But our WMU is NOT JUST ABOUT THESE OFFERINGS.  Each month we gather to learn more about missionaries, and to support our local church and church members in prayer.  We try to have a different person lead our devotion each month.  Sometimes it is someone who has been on a mission trip.  Sometimes it is one of our very own ladies from church - someone who is willing to share their testimony, or something God has  laid on their hearts.

 

 Our WMU is also looking for ways to serve our local community - our own mission field at home.  We have helped provide coats for those in need, school supplies for the children's home, Christmas gifts for our soldiers over seas, and food for our local food pantry.

 

We invite all of the ladies to join us.  We meet every third Sunday in the rec building one hour before church.  Come as often as you can - we welcome your new ideas and your prayers!!!
